Supporters

We need you to play your part in ensuring the industry has a continuous pool of talented property graduates.

Benefits of Supporting PEF

All supporters have their corporate logo displayed on the PEF website with a direct link to their company’s website. Staff of supporting companies will be given priority to become members of the PEF management committee and Board.

Supporting students who plan to join the property industry is a way to meet your corporate and social responsibilities as an industry leader.

How you can support PEF

1. Sponsor a Scholarship

The Foundation offers an annual scholarship to first or second year university students enrolled in Property Studies – Valuation & Property Management; Property & Finance; or Property & Marketing – or in Urban & Regional Planning etc.

You may sponsor a new student every year, or alternatively every third year.

The value of the scholarship is $15,000 per student over their years of full-time or part time property studies. As a Scholarship Sponsor you are given naming rights.

*Please email secretariat@pef.org.au or call 08 9215 3499 for more information.

2. Provide an Internship

Second and Third Year students can apply for unpaid placements with supporting property organisations for five weeks during the June-July or winter break.

Sponsors may choose to accept any number of students per day per week, any number of days per week and over any number of weeks. The University provides insurance cover for every student for the period they are posted to the organisations.

We will advise sponsors of the internship dates in April-May, and will forward the CV’s of the students who will be placed with them.

The student’s University will contact you for confirmation. Please nominate a contact person in your organisation for this purpose.

*Please email secretariat@pef.org.au or call 08 9215 3499 for more information.

3. Sponsor networking events

The Foundation conducts two annual “Meet the Leaders” events, held at Curtin University and at the University of Western Australia.

Around eight to ten identified leaders from different disciplines are invited to meet and chat with students to provide informal advice on careers and career paths. Between 60 and 80 students attend each event.

Sponsors can donate $2,000 towards each of these events to provide some catering at the conclusion of the function.

Sponsors may nominate a staff member as their leader.

4. Sponsor a yacht in the Annual Regatta

Sponsor a yacht for the industry’s annual regatta and invite a student to join your team of sailors in a friendly competition for the coveted Regatta Trophy.

Each yacht comes with a trained skipper and will seat 10 of your crew, including a student (to learn about team building). The cost is $3,500 per yacht.

The event includes an after-race dinner and drinks for all participants.

If you do not have enough people to fill a yacht, you may purchase Spectator tickets to follow the race in a specially catered craft and join the after-race party.

If you prefer to join the event for the after-race party only, there are after-race party tickets that ensure you can still join in the fun and excitement of the event day.

5. Assist at School Career Expos

One of the main objectives of the Property Education Foundation from the time of its inception is to encourage high school students to select property as a career of choice. This will provide the industry with a continuous pool of well trained and talented professionals.

Our Board and Management Subcommittee members participate in these school events. We attend around 25 such events each year incorporating 50 schools between April and August. Scholarship students and young industry professionals assist the Foundation in spreading the message of the benefits of property careers and scholarships.

*Please email secretariat@pef.org.au or call 08 9215 3499 for more information.

6. Make a donation

The Foundation is entirely run by volunteers – the members of the Board and Management Subcommittee are all in voluntary positions. All are industry professionals who invest their time to encourage students to choose a career pathway in property and support them along that path.

We welcome and appreciate donations as they enable us to provide additional scholarships, expand our internship program and investigate new initiatives for attracting and supporting property students.

Please contact us to offer your support by emailing secretariat@pef.org.au or call 08 9215 3499.

A big thank you to all our supporters!
