Our interns say

Amelia O’Dywer

PEF has been excellent in providing property students with the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and gain an insight into the various divisions that the Property Development and Valuation major can lead to. PEF provides students with support and awareness and helps students like myself in developing job readiness. The ‘Meet the Leader’ event held by PEF for Curtin Property students was extremely beneficial from my point of view. I really enjoyed meeting leaders such as Col Dutton of Stockland and being given the opportunity to gain an insight into the company and the culture behind the company as well as the many different graduate positions that will be available to me and all of the other students within the course. The PEF makes me feel connected to my education and my future career and opens up an array of opportunity for the future.

As a Curtin University scholarship recipient, The Property Education Foundation helped me to secure a short internship with property developer Cedar Woods. This internship has ended up leading me into casual work in Cedar Woods’ finance team and then on to my current part-time position within the development team. I’m very grateful for the opportunity that the PEF provided me with this internship as it has given me a head start in the industry, enabling me to learn on the job while finishing my studies in Property Development and Valuation.

Internship - Brandon Prince

Brandon Prince ( 2017 )

PEF has provided me with rewarding experiences that have helped kick start my career in the property industry. Attending events such as “Meet the Property Leaders” allowed proactive and enthusiastic students, such as myself, to socialise and network with industry professionals. Participating in the Internship Program has also been beneficial as it provided me with opportunities to gain valuable insights into a variety of different areas within two organisations.
